1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website doubleglazingunits.co.uk and all transactions between you ("the Customer") and Double Glazing Units ("we", "us", "our") for the supply of double glazing sealed units and related products and services.
By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before ordering. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

3. Products and Services
We supply and install double glazing sealed units, including but not limited to:
- Standard double glazed sealed units
- Triple glazed sealed units
- Low-E coated glass units
- Argon and krypton gas-filled units
- Toughened and laminated glass units
- Acoustic glass units
- Decorative and obscure glass units
- Supply-only orders and supply-and-install orders
All products are manufactured to British Standards (BS EN 1279) and comply with Building Regulations Part L (England & Wales).
4. Quotations and Orders
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Prices quoted are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated.
- A quotation does not constitute a binding contract. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing (including by email).
- We reserve the right to amend any quotation if the information provided by the Customer is inaccurate or if site conditions differ from those described.
- Bespoke or made-to-measure products are manufactured specifically for the Customer and cannot be returned or refunded once production has commenced (see Section 8).
5. Pricing and Payment
- Full payment or an agreed deposit is required before manufacturing begins for supply-only orders.
- For supply-and-install orders, a deposit may be required at the point of order, with the balance due upon satisfactory completion of installation.
- Trade account customers may be offered credit terms subject to approval and a satisfactory credit check.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, credit card, and other methods as indicated at the time of order.
- Late payments may incur interest at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate, as permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Delivery
- Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and are not guaranteed. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver within the estimated timeframe.
- Delivery is available across England, Wales, and Scotland. Delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and offshore islands may be subject to additional charges.
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate access to the delivery/installation site.
- Risk of damage or loss passes to the Customer upon delivery. It is the Customer's responsibility to inspect goods upon delivery and report any damage or defects within 48 hours.
- If you are not available at the agreed delivery time and we have to redeliver, additional delivery charges may apply.
7. Installation
- Installation is carried out by our qualified installers or approved subcontractors.
- Installation dates are agreed in advance and are subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
- The Customer must provide clear access to the installation area and remove any obstructions, furniture, or window dressings prior to the installation date.
- Our installers will take reasonable care to minimise disruption and will clean up the work area upon completion.
- A compliance certificate will be provided upon completion of installation, confirming compliance with Building Regulations.
8. Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you are a consumer (not a business customer), the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel your order within 14 days of the date of delivery (for supply-only orders) or the date the contract was entered into (for services).
Exceptions to cancellation rights:
- Bespoke or made-to-measure sealed units that have been manufactured to your specific dimensions cannot be cancelled once production has begun, as they are made to your personal specifications.
- If installation has been completed with your express consent during the cancellation period, you may lose your right to cancel.
To cancel, please contact us in writing at [email protected]. If a valid cancellation is made, we will issue a refund within 14 days using the same payment method as the original transaction.
9. Guarantees and Warranties
- All our sealed units come with a manufacturer's guarantee against seal failure (misting/condensation between panes). The guarantee period depends on the product and will be confirmed at the time of order.
- Installation work is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months from the date of completion, covering defects in workmanship.
- Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, attempted repair by third parties, structural movement of the property, or failure to follow our care and maintenance guidance.
- These guarantees are in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total price paid by you for the relevant products or services.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, revenue, or anticipated savings.
- We are not liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (Force Majeure), including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, strike, pandemic, or supply chain disruptions.

We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 14 working days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) or relevant ombudsman or alternative dispute resolution service.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, graphics, logos, videos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Double Glazing Units and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

- We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, but we do not guarantee that all content is error-free or up to date.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Double Glazing Units in relation to your use of our website and the purchase of products and services.
